"The 20/20 Group Corporate Duck Race is a unique opportunity for Cairns businesses to compete for the honour of the quickest duck in town, while also supporting the Dr Edward Koch Foundation www.kochfoundation.org.au.

Upon purchase, duck owners have the option to brand and enhance their duck anyway they like. However it is essential that no decorations or props end up littering or polluting the water. Ducks that do pollute the water will be disqualified.  Hint: Avoid water-based paint!

The best dressed duck will be awarded the fabulous Dashing Duck prize.

In addition, duck owners may super-enhance their duck from the standard bath version into a faster and more intelligent model. However motors and jockeys are strictly prohibited!

On Saturday the 11^th September, bring your suitably attired duck to the Esplanade Lagoon by 1:30pm ready for a 2pm start. And watch on as, in Olympic fashion the ducks are lined up behind the starting tape eagerly awaiting the whistle. Once released they will drift madly (depending on your inventive brilliance) down the lagoon in search of victory. 

The duck which finishes first takes line honours, and its proud owners take home the magnificent Corporate Duck Race prize, bragging rights and of course, the duck. "
